The information sheet that comes with Levitra samples
indicates an interaction with Amiodarone.  What is
the interaction?  Any pointers to a detailed description
would be welcome.

The combination increases the risk of prolongation of the QT interval
(an electrocardiographic finding), which could lead to cardiac
arrythmias and death. I'd avoid it. Interestingly, the other two PDE-5
inhibitors (Viagra and Cialis) may also interact with amiodarone, but
their interaction has to do with the inhibition of hepatic metabolism
of the PDE-5 inhibitor, which may increase serum levels of Viagra or
Cialis, potentially causing hypotension and death. I'd probably avoid
these as well. In the erctile dysfunction realm, Muse and Caverject do
not interact with amiodarone, so they (along with the vacuum pump) may
provide an alternative to a PDE-5 inhibitor.
