Does a body temperature on the low side (96.4) indicate anything that should be
checked by a Dr.?

You might want to check your thermometer first.  ;-)

Why were you taking the temperature?

If  there are no symptoms, I wouldn't give a second thought.

Thyroid function.

Try taking it at different times of day. Temp is lowest during pre-/post-
sleeping hours.
