Craving and meals

Is there a scientific explanation for why nicotine craving is more
especially after one has a meal ?

I recall reading that it had something to do with the "sedation" effect of
eating - causing the body to crave stimulation. Same reason why some people
"need" a coffee after a meal. Sorry, can't recall where I saw that (and I
offer no opinion as to the validity of this).
