Apparently that rate of 3 lbs loss per day of total fasting coupled
with strenous work or exercise. In the past 2 days I went on a total
fasting and worked out cutting trees and logs and lifting concrete
blocks. Before the fasting I weighed 145 lbs. So by fasting coupled
with strenous exercise I lose 3 lbs per day or 1.3 kg.

I decided that I will drop my weight to 130 lbs or 59 Kg. Previously I
thought that my High School weight of 135-137 lbs was ideal, but in my
youth my metabolism was phenomenally high that I could eat 5,000, even
10,000 calories per day and still not gain weight. But now that I am
in my fifties, my metabolism has slowed down and I am thinking of my
heart more than my gut or belly. And so I decided I will semi-fast or
complete fast until I get down to 130 lbs or 59 kg and once there I
shall endeavor to keep it there.

I want to remove all signs of a pot-like-looking belly and I want to
see my rib cage. I enjoy wearing pants that just fit me and now are
baggy.

Once I reach 130 lbs, I should have little problem in keeping that
range because I can always fast. FAsting is really easy, especially
when you wake up in the morning and never feel hungry. And I am sure
that as I fast that the stomach sort of shrinks due to lesser and
lesser activity and food to digest and that shuts off my desire to
eat. But the daily loss of weight seems fixed at a maximum of 3 lbs
per day with FAsting + exercise.

And the essential keeping the weight down is met with at the grocery
store. You defeat the purpose if you have a freezer and refrig nearly
full. In the store, now a days I buy mostly bottled water, a carton of
eggs and a loaf of bread. I am thinking of buying a package of butter
since I do like to flavor a slice of bread
or the upcoming asparagus fresh out of the garden.

But it is important that I never buy ice cream anymore and that I
never buy any pies or cakes or cookies. Instead I buy puffed cereal
and powdered milk. I buy popcorn that is plain and I pop it in a
microwave. So I fill up on puffed cereal and popcorn. I no longer buy
candy bars. It is easy to not buy at the store. And so at home with
the freezer empty and the refrigerator very sparse, well, if the urge
hits me, well, there is nothing really good to eat, and so the
temptation is denied.

If you are overweight and fat and want to do something about it. If
you cannot Fast, well, you will always be fat or chubby or obese
unless you commit to surgery of the gut. And if you can Fast but then
have a freezer and refrig sort of full, well, you are again defeated
and not really serious because as long as the temptation is just a
refrig away, you lost.

I cannot describe how nice it is to shed 17 lbs in a month and the
feeling. I felt almost like a deja-vu to my old High School days. I
know that smelling a cologne I once used in High School brings me
right back to those old days, or hearing a song of the 1960s brings me
back to those old days, but I would never have believed it that as I
bring my weight down to 130 lbs that I will also have a flashback to
my old High School days.

This entire episode was caused because of a prostate urinary flow
problem last month which I checked out and had a physical and a high
blood pressure. So I decided I had better take more care of my heart
and that means firstly to reduce weight. My blood pressure is now very
low.

I hope anyone reading these articles of my health gains the insight of
the logic behind losing weight. That every diet program is a phony and
a sham and a scam. Because the only diet that works is Fasting. And if
you cannot fast then you must remain fat or have a surgery. And if you
can Fast then you can lose weight, but, keep that refrig and freezer
nearly empty. Always think of three things HEart, Heart and Heart. Do
it for your heart, and let your gut-belly whine.

I hope that someone close to you recognizes that you are disturbed as
evidenced by your actions or the fantasies of what you describe as your
actions.
Cutting down trees and lifting concrete blocks while fasting is not
good. Depriving yourself of food while pushing yourself physically is a
sign of some other deep rooted problem.
I'm certainly not qualified to suggest what needs to be done, but I hope
you listen to some others here about your behaviour.
