I have come to know about people gettign benefits from irrigation. I
do nto know what it emans and which condition gets benefir from it. In
another word, I do not know whether I will get benefit from it.

Now,,I saw somene talking about "upside down sinus floodings" adn
avoid sinus infections.

My problem is getting throat infection because of the type of Rhinitis
I have. I have to use Rhinocort and I do not want to to depend on it
for the rest of my life. I haven't been using it unless I need it,
when i feel i need it. Ican't always tell when i need it until it
already got me into a bit of a mess. I got a flu recently and it
turned into throat infection.

My throat infection hppens because of insufficient air cleaning in my
nasal passage caused by anatomical anomaly: extra holes in each side
of middle bones in nasal passgae.

I would like to find a  solution/ a mehtod that I can use to prevent
thorat infections and be able to function much better on daily basis.

I'd like to understand whether I would benefit from irrigation, etc.

Sorry to hear about your sinus and throat infection problems. I hope that
you are able to solve your sinus and throat problems.

I first started using 3% hydrogen peroxide in my sinuses about 2 1/2 years
ago, to fight against sinus infection. I've been gargling with 3% hydrogen
peroxide for a lot longer. It is a very powerful anti-infective.

The problem is, how does one get the peroxide into the sinuses in order to
kill the infection? Well...... I developed a method that I call the "upside
down sinus flooding", which has kept my sinuses free from infection since I
have been doing it.

It doesn't work for everyone, but for those that it helps, it is extremely
effective.

If you'd like to learn more, there is a forum which contains detailed
documentation about how to do it, and discussions by those who have done it,
and are doing it right now.

There's an OTC product called "SinuCleanse" that makes it brain-dead
simple to do at-home sinus irrigation. See: http://www.sinucleanse.com
. It's available at Walgreen's, and perhaps elsewhere.

You're obviously having post nasal drips.  This can irritate the
throat.  You should see an ENT to see if maybe you have a deviated
septum.  Another issue could be your nasal turbinates.  They have a
surgery to correct this and the worst part of it is the first 24
hours.  Since they have packing in your nose.  After that you get
almost immediate results.  Providing that's your problem.  Using a
solution might also help but I'm thinking that if you do have a
deviated septum, why put yourself through that throughout your life?
Talk to your doctor and see what he/she says.

Eh? That would have *nothing* to do with post-nasal drip. Deviated
septae (or other anatomical configurations which might *potentially*
obstruct the osteomeatal complex) are *sometimes* partially responsible
(notice all the caveats in there?) for *some* sinus infections; but
they have absolutely *zip* to do with allergic rhinitis (which is
usually the cause of recurrent post-nasal drip, aside from the common
cold).

I sure as hell wouldn't be in a mad dash for a surgical fix to this
sort of problem. Geez. Try some Claritin (available OTC) first, for
crying out loud. Failing that, go see your friendly primary care doc.
Save the ENT for waaaaay down the road, if you fail conservative
treatment.
