I donated some about 1/3 of a pint (175ml) a week ago. I notice I lost 4
pounds. I noticed that when I went for a light jog that I would go much
further than usual without getting tired. Can that be related to my
donation blood. I am health and in my early thirties. thanks.

You probably just feel better having done something good for your
fellow man. ;-)

Certain conditions are treated by plebotomy, including excessive platelet
count. You can drop it off at the Red Cross and get paid with soda pop
and cookies.
The alternative is to pay to have it taken out in a room full of chemo
patients fighting for their lives, which I find disquieting.
I do not recall any immediate effects from giving blood as long as I
don't eat too many cookies. YMMV.

I've had that feeling too and thought it was my system manufacturing new
blood... but a nurse once told me years ago that your body does that all the
time anyway. So,
maybe it's just the good feeling we get giving something so valuable...
dunno.

Either way, keep giving, you really are saving lives.

All of the above CAN be shown to be related to bloodletting / phlebotomy .. in
certain patients .. COPD for one ..
As to the healthy male in his early thirties .. though ..
I haven't found any studies directly related to that .. demographic ..
Who loves ya.

Conicidence. It is not much blood.
The weight was probably water weight. I never lost that much when I donated
blood. Or any big increase or decrease in energy.
