Hi all,

I've got a rash on my right ankle.  Had it for a couple of weeks, I
think.  This is it at the weekend:

I went to the doc a couple of days ago.  He had a look, and said he
wasn't sure what he was, but didn't think it was anything to worry
about, and didn't think that it was fungal.  But if he didn't know what
it was, then how could he be so sure?  He asked if it itched.  It
doesn't at all.

He prescribed Elocon (Mometasone furoate).  I had this a couple of years
ago for atopic eczema.  After a couple of days, there is no improvement,
infact I think the rash is a bit darker if anything:

differences in ambient lighting between this pic and the previous one.

Anyone got any ideas?  I moved house a couple of weeks ago and was
wondering if it could be some sort of parasite, but to be honest don't
remember if I had the rash before moving.  Also thought shingles, but I
thought that itches.

It looks like a contact dermatitis. I'd give the Elocon a bit more time
to work.
