In two cases arising from the correctional context, a court has recognized that "[t]he forcible injection of medication into a nonconsenting person's body represents a substantial interference with that person's liberty." Washington v. Harper, 494 U.S. 210,229 (1990), quoted in Riggins v. Nevada, 504 U.S. 127, 133-34 (1992). In those cases, involving involuntary medication by state officials, the Court found the liberty interest in avoiding injections of anti-psychotic drugs in the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Seeking to forcibly inject a pre-trial detainee with anti-psychotic medication is wrong as the detainee's liberty interest in his bodily integrity is rooted in the Due Process Clause of the Fifth Amendment. Brandon, 158 F.3d at 953. That of course esp. applies to non-criminal people and Scientologists. A former roommate of Barbara Schwarz, once committed at the same state mental hospital in Utah comes across Salt Lake City Tribune article and does an engine search which draws her attention to ARS. Seeing Schwarz' hateful, homophobic posts attacking Garry Scarff, his church and it's members, she responds by e-mail to Garry Scarff revealing a very interesting side to The Real Barbara Schwarz...shocking!
