Dear group,
I would like to address this to people who have successfully cured
their phimosis using stretching methods particularly. I have had a
tight foreskin for years and recently visited two urologists. Before
they examined me, both recommended circumcision. However, upon
examination, they were startled. They had me first stretch my
foreskin as far as I could get it, and then when they tried it, said
that my foreskin did not warrant surgery at all, and that I should
instead try stretching it back as far as possible about 15 minutes a
day (holding it in place). One also recommended 1% hydrocortosoid to
go with it. They said the process will take about 6 months for easy
retraction.
Both said they feel the head of my penis is very sensitive. When I
touch it, I automatically and reflexively pull back my hand. I assume
this is because I am just not used to the sensation.
I have done the exercises for a couple days now and am shocked at how
far my foreskin can actually go. I almost got it completely behind
the head today. I don't force it back. Usually, if I hold the
foreskin at a certain point in place, it will just sort of naturally
crawl down further. I can't automatically take it down to the
"maximum" position now in just one stroke. It slowly and gradually
unwraps itself there.
My question - am I proceeding too fast? When the foreskin naturallly
starts to unwrap down in that direction, should I let it go, or is
there a danger it is goign toof ast? Also, I have not bothered trying
the hydrocortosoid cream yet. Does this work or should I request the
betamethasone that others talk about here? I feel some light
tingling under the foreskin, not really painful, when I am done with
the stretching. It lasts for maybe 15-20 minutes, then disappars. Is
this normal? I worry these are "mini cuts or tears" that I can't see
but that may cause scarring that will worsen the problem, although
neither doctor (urologists all) raised this issue. Finally, I have
tried the stretching once to much less success when erect. Why is
this? Will I be able to retract it when erect after success while
limp?

Will go back to an anteater when you stop the stretching. Same old story.

Betamethasone IS a cortico-steroid.
15 minutes a day for 6 months is one hell of a lot of your life being
wasted away without a total guarantee of success.
6 months is a far longer time to be using a cortico-steroid cream than
the manufacturers recommend.
Only about 1 or 2% of tight foreskins can actually be relieved by
stretching (with or without creams). If you are adamant that you don't
want to be circumcised then by all means carry on with the stretching
exercises, but don't be surprised if they don't work completely.
Be aware that once you do get the foreskin back behind the glans it
might drop into the coronal sulcus (groove) and get stuck there (a
paraphimosis) - a situation that requires urgent attention, often from a
doctor, if one is not to cut of the blood supply to the glans and get
gangrene.
When stretching the foreskin there is a distinct possibility of creating
minute tears (invisible to the eye) which heal with even less elastic
scar tissue and only worsen the phimosis.
Whe you are erect the glans, and particularly its coronal rim, is a
larger diameter than when flaccid - hence the foreskin has to be
stretched much more to retract when erect than when flaccid.

Yes indeed. The gentleman should explain why he is going through all
this, rather than submit to a circumcision.

Well what about people who can never be circumcised due to a medical
conditions. What are they supose to do in this situation since it fails
so often?

Why rush it? Why not just play it safe?

Listen to your urologists, they know best. Don't listen to those
circumcision freaks, they are just missing something.
Don't worry, all will be just fine. If you really had "mini cuts or
tears", it would be painfull when you urinate afterwards on the
affected area.
If you don't need the cream, then don't use it, but don't believe the
idiots who want to make you scared of it.
After a while your skin will also be able to stay behind the glans
when erect. Just give it some time.

Well I streched and it worked perfectly! Yep I can fully retract when
soft and erect with out pain. I love it totaly. One thing I have say
though is do not pull to hard to the point were it hurts thats a bad
idea. Just pull till you feel tension. It will take time but it is very
well worth it. One more thing do not use hydrocotosoid cream bad idea
to. Just take the time every day to do it at least once. I did it almost
every day for about 20 min for about 5 weeks. So it does take time just
be patient the results are worth it trust me.
