Can a nurse practitioner prescribe their own medications to themselves?

It raises ethical questions, but technically it's not illegal. The exception
is often controlled substances. Self-prescribing narcotics MAY be illegal in
some states. The other point to consider is whether or not it violates the
practice agreement they have with their supervising doctor. That will vary
from practice to practice.
