A few years ago some aches developed on some parts of my body, such as
the right shoulder, right heel, back of knee, muscles on the hand,
and the rib area. I went to see an orthopedist. He prescribed an MRI
for my knee, but nothing wrong was found. He didn't know what was
causing the pain. The aches made me feel quite uncomfortable.
Movement of my body became slower. The muscles feel tight, but no
strength is lost. I have been suffering, but not very much. I still
can drive and lift things.
About a couple of weeks ago, I started to take the BioCalth. The
sufferings decreased, but is not totally gone. The BioCalth is mainly
composed of calcium, and other ingredients. I realize that I need
calcium for my bone. Further I think that I may need other things for
the bone, too. My questions are:
1. What other medicines I can take to improve the bone health? iron?
2. Is there a test to determine the components of my bone? By taking
the test I would know what is lacking in my bone, and will take the
medicine in need.
3. If there is such a test, what's its name? I will ask my doctor to
prescribe one for me.
Thanks for your expertise.

My HMO PCP has a bone mass density X-ray machine called
"Hologic". It is mainly for female patients having signs of
osteoporosis.
This machine has software that prints hip and spine images on paper.
There are graphics which show your spine and hip deviations from
normal bone mass density. The PCP then recommends a regimen to
improve your
bone mass density. One recommendation is Calcium 1500 MG daily
and Vitamin D 800 IU p.d.
