Surely the man should be sent back to Somalia and his drugs
sent with him. What is the point of exposing British doctors and
nurses and public to an untreatable illness which could spread widely
like Aids?

'Untreatable TB' arrives in Britain
By Simon Johnson
Last Updated: 1:55am GMT 22/03/2008
Doctors have diagnosed what is believed to be the first ever case in
Britain of a virtually untreatable strain of tuberculosis.
A man, believed to be a Somali in his 30s, is in isolation at a
hospital in Scotland and being treated with a range of antibiotics to
control the disease.
But he has been diagnosed with the XDR-TB strain, which kills half of
those infected and is extremely resistant to drugs used to fight more
common forms of the infection.

I wonder how long he's been here, and if he was only visiting...

It's simply damage control .. these types of drugs which EVERYONE
seems to have been using .. has now been shown to introduce TB into
our midst ..
THEY were trying to blame it on a guy from Michigan flying everywhere
and NOW a guy from Somalia ..
It is preemptive damage control;
They are going to use this wildfire TB when they begin the trials
about WHO gave who TB and why we cannot control it.

That's it. You tell those nasty germs they are not
allowed to enter the UK. That will tell them.
BTW - It's not 'untreatable'. It's 'drug resistant'. Two totally
different modes.

Yes habshi, but what you don't understand is that even if all the world's
populations from grief stricken areas of the planet (passing over or through
a dozen other 'safe havens' on the way) could actually manage to arrive in
this green and pleasant land, then as long as they can utter those magic
words 'political asylum' they and their extended families will automatically
be granted the right to stay here.
This nonsense is based on a ridiculously (circa 60 year old) totally
outmoded charter that the UK is a signatory to, which was originally
intended to mop up refugees from Western Europe in the aftermath of world
war two, long before the advent of mass global air travel was ever
envisaged.
AIUI In the UK City of Bristol alone the population from war torn Somalia
now amounts to around 25,000 souls who have settled here over just the last
few years.
As you've (IMO correctly) pointed out so many times in your posts, it
doesn't take an Einstein to realise that in just a few decades time this
state of affairs will no longer continue to be sustainable (It's my belief
that some of the first signs are already now beginning to manifest
themselves) and then the fireworks will certainly begin!
