Greetings!
My friend is suffering from cancer of the bile duct: cholangiocarcinoma.
Anybody know anything about this rare ailment? It occurs in about one
in 100,000 people (in the US). The incidence is higher in Asia and the
Middle East.
What is the prognosis? Is it curable? Is the best therapy chemo- or
surgery or radiation or something else?
Many thanks,
earle

I am sorry to hear about your friend, Earle.
The prognosis for cholangiocarcinoma is dismal unless it is diagnosed early
(and complete resection is possible) and it's usually not.

We haven't had anyone there with Cholangiocarcinoma for a while.
