Hi...
After many years of difficulty breathing & headaches.. I actually have
to pull the skin on the side of my face over a bit to get some
airflow... and realizing that a while ago when i took a hit in the
face with an icy snowball I might have a broken nose... I went to my
Dr. Well I had X-rays and the results showed YES I do have a broken
nose.
But now my Primary Care has referred me to a ENT.
I'm wondering why?
Shouldn't I be going to a Plastic Surgeon to get this fixed?
What is the difference between and ENT and a Plastic Surgeon.
My nose is definatley broken and obviously crooked when you look at
me.
Any help is appreciated.

"ENT" stands for Ear, NOSE, and Throat. Cosmetic reconstruction of the nose
tends to fall into either specialty. *Functional* reconstruction, improving
airflow, is generally more likely to fall to ENT surgeons.
