No other symptoms but this. I'm 64, in reasonable shape. This morning, shortly after rising, I swallowed and felt a cramp in my throat. Now, when I swallow, it hurts like hell 1/3 to half way down my neck/throat from my head, and slightly to one side of my trachea/esophagus, where you might place a finger to take a pulse. My left, you're right if you were facing me.It's only been 30 minutes so it may disappear soon. Feels like a sprain. I'm going to work out now. Then breakfast. Let's see how that goes. More when I swallowed coffee than cereal. The cable guy said it happens to him. Some salivary gland backup, but there's no salivary gland near, just a lymph node. He said it could last 2,3 days.
