What is the average weight of the contents of the my digestive tract?
I am a 62 year old man living in England. 6'1" tall, weight 180
pounds.

I realise that this word "average" is _very_ vague, and that this
weight will change dramatically depending on whether I have just eaten
a big meal, evacuated my bowels, etc. But I would appreciate some sort
of ball-park figures.

Probably less than a pound.  For more details, see

These are my opinions only, but they're almost always correct.

The stomach has a volume of around 1 liter when full, which is about 2
lbs. I imagine that the small intestine can hold about 1 liter and the
large intestine can hold about 1 or 1 1/2 liter, for a total of about 3
liters or about 6 lbs, although I would be most of the time the contents
weigh about 3 or 4 lbs total.

Possibly -- but a lot of what we ingest is water, and much of that
will be absorbed into the bloodstream.

There have been times in my life when my intestinal contents came quite
rapidly. And yes, there was a lot of water in the contents. Of course we
ingest a lot of water. And water is an important part of the intestinal
contents: Otherwise, stuff wouldn't be able to move through the
intestinal tract.
