My neighbor recently had her gall bladder removed. She has been having
major digestive problems. Her doctor did NOT give her any information
related to what foods to avoid. If you know about a book that has a diet
plan for patients that no longer have a gall bladder--please tell me the
title of the book and the name of the author.

Thanks in advance for your information

I'm sure Dr. McCollister could reply.  But she's getting treatment from
her own doctor, and if he was remiss in giving her that information she
should call her doctor.

Steve,
Thanks for your post. I was able to download some info. for her. I will
tell her tomorrow to ask her doctor for a diet plan.

I'd be suspicious of any such book, unless one had some specific
recommendation from proper knowledgable people. Most "health" books
are out there to make money, and are not necessarily of quality. Maybe
some are good, but how do you know?

Why not go to PubMed and look for good info.

Or see an appropriate expert, such as a dietician who has knowledge.

Or maybe she should ask the doc, and get info that takes into account
her particular situation.

Thanks--
I will tell her tomorrow to ask her doctor for a diet plan or to ask her
doctor  to refer her to a nutritionist.
