Hi,
This may sound wierd, but we it happens all the time to be a
coincidence.
We have a bed with a mattress & and also a leather sofa. When my wife
sleeps on the bed, she has to get up 5-6 times in the night to urinate.
When she sleeps on the couch, she hardly gets up a couple of times. What
can be the cause for this? Any ideas?

She should talk to her doctor about this. It sounds like she getting up
too many times at night.

Probably, she isn't sleeping well in bed and wakes up more easily.
