I am 33 years old, and I am a male.
For the past 10 weeks or so, I have used Retin-A Micro (0.04%) for my
facial pimples.
When I go outside, I use sunblock lotion. At first, I used Paradise
Gold Sunblock Lotion SPF 30. This brand is sold only at Walgreens, and
I was using a 2 fl. oz. bottle.
When I used this brand, the lotion vanished on my face. Thus, to the
outside observer, there was no lotion visible on my face.
When I almost ran out of Paradise Gold Sunblock Lotion SPF 30, I tried
to buy another 2 fl. oz. bottle of the stuff. Unfortunately, Walgreens
no longer sells 2 fl. oz. bottles of Paradise Gold SPF 30 (at least in
my area of Chicago).
So, I bought a 4 fl. oz. bottle of Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunblock
Lotion SPF 30. The Neutrogena lotion seems to NOT vanish on my face.
The lotion is VISIBLE on my face, and outside observers can see lotion
on my face.
The bottle states that the lotion "vanishes on skin for a weightless,
non-greasy feel". So, clearly, the lotion is not living up to the
manufacturer's promises.
I should mention that the lotion is most visible on the parts of my
face where the facial hair has been shaved off (such as the area
between my mouth and my nose, my chin, parts of my cheeks, the front
of my neck). The lotion is much less visible in areas where there is
never any facial hair (such as my forehead).
The bottle states that Neutrogena's active ingredient is Titanium
Dioxide 9.1%. I have seen no such ingredient mentioned on the Paradise
Gold bottle. So, is this Titanium thing causing the lotion to be
visible on my face? Should I try to find another lotion?
Thanks for any info.

Consumer Reports rated Neutrogena highly, but rated "No-Ad" (at
just a fraction of the cost) as their "Best Buy".
I got a tube of Neutrogena last week just bc they didn't have
No-Ad on the shelf - and I'm not exactly in love with the stuff
either.
Next time I see No-Add on the shelf, I'll buy/try some.

When you use Neutrogena, does Neutrogena stay visible on your face? Do
you experience the same problem that I experience?

The skin gets a shiny look, but there's no pigment visible.
