I purchased a copy of my own X ray. Does it all look OK. The hospital doctor agreed to do it at my request, as I had a cough for over 6 weeks with no previous history. No side view was taken. My feeling was that the X ray looked a bit underexposed. I didn't see anything like a pneumonia or a penny caught in the windpipe. There was no lateral (side) X-ray done. Stop worrying. And if you still have a cough, follow-up with your doctor. However, an unexplained cough for six weeks is DEFINITELY an indication for a chest xray. In fact, it would have been negligent to not get a film with that history alone. |
