Hey what's up all. I'm friends with some of the other posters here,
and need some advice. I figured out a cool way of preforming implant
operations on myself, and have implanted a magnet that's been in my
body for almost a week. I just burned a part of my hand with a
cigarette, and put the magnet into the open blister. It has been
healing up nice, as far as I can tell. I didn't use any equipment to
steralize the process though so...
My skin has grown over the magnetic implant so thick that you can't
even see the magnet. All you can see is a mound of flesh and scar
tissue. My friends are woried about it, and think that it might be
getting infected. So if anyone knows how I can handle that, let me
know. I'm going to go out and buy some anti-biotic ointment to run
onto the implant area. Maybe I should go to the doctor too and get a
prescription. What are the warning signs to look for in an infection
anyway?

Yeah, I've had the implant in for 7 days now. I'm using cloth
bandages to keep it wrapped up, but yesterday the burn on my other
hand got into the sun and opened back up. It had seemed to be
completely healed, but no. The anti-biotic ointment I'm using says
not to use it on severe burns, so I don't know how long it will be
before it gets healed.

I can't wait until both of your hands fall off. It's going to be
awesome!

That's an interesting method, but I would have assumed that the "skin"
that covers a blistered area would simply fall off eventually as part
of the healing process. It's dead skin, right? I assumed you had to
implant any magnets under healthy skin. Seems I saw something on BME.
An article on subdermal magnets?

While I've got to admire your creativity in this whole ordeal or
process, I'd recommend you see your family doctor or a dermatologist.
Have the magnet removed. Let your skin heal.
