I've got a ~1x2" bruise on my upper arm and a ~2x3" one on my forearm.  They
are healing but have turned a hideous yellowy-green.

Would a gentle massage of the discolored area help clean them up faster?

It probably wont help now but anytime you feel you have bruised an
area, rub it then and rub it for quite some time.  It keeps the blood
from rushing into the site so fast and causing the bruising.  Don't
know of anything you can do now but wait.
