Shame on America and its lust for money.

I've noticed this Muvy character who puts up those very
catchy topics that have no connection with his post there.
Shame on him!

If you follow one of his links, do you wind up receiving a
mare's nest of malware?

But actually, it's an interesting topic.  It appears to me that
in today's world of powerful technical resources, the emphasis
is so focussed upon extracting maximum money from the
vulnerable patient, that actual service is not much.  At least,
that's my personal experience.

Which leads me to ask, are there old public-domain medical
texts out there, which real people can find and use to fill
the gaping failures in today's medical services?  I have a
Merck Manual which is very helpful in filling in all my doctor
does not say; but in my view it's a start and needs more.
Medical doctors used to be very able people; and their
training and knowhow have to be set in text in many places;
and much of that text will be in public-domain now.  Where
in today's internet, can the interested or needy person
find it?

He posts on TONS of different newsgroups.  I just ignore him.
