explanation:

I had a tiny bump on my cheek, it looked like an innocent pimple, but
it hurt and itched. I used a needle to delicately remove the top layer
of skin. The colorless filament shown in the photo emerged from the
lesion. (The brown things are whiskers on my cheek.)

questions:

1) Is the filament consistent with an ingrown hair? That'd be my first
guess; but the filament was thinner than my whiskers, and the filament
was a colorless, while my whiskers are brown.

2) If it's inconsistent with an ingrown hair, what's you best guess?

3) Is it consistent with some sort of worm?
