I am sad about my experience with Synthroid. At first it was a
miracle. It helped with my fibromyalgia (painful spots on my back)
and got rid of my torturous low blood sugar which made it impossible
to diet. I quickly lost 30 pounds which removed pain from my knee
tendons allowing me to walk without struggling. The low sugar was
completely gone.
But a few months on it and I started getting too overstimulated to do
anything, and my eyes swelled up making it too difficult to control
them.
Miraculous results, devastating side affects! I'll see the doc again
soon. Do people respond better to different meds, or is it all the
same? I was put on half a dose for now.

The side effects you experienced are typical symptoms of
hyperthyroid -- too much thyroid hormone. Assuming your doctor
didn't up the dosage along the way, evidently your natural thyroid
status changed for the better. Did you change your diet, perhaps?
Stop eating soy, or start supplementing some nutrient that was
lacking? Were you on steroids for pain, then stopped? Any of
those, and many others, can cause hormonal changes. If you're not
seeing an endocrinologist, you probably should.
