tendonitis and tylenol

I have acute tendonitis of my wrist. I cannot take any NSAIDS. I
already take tramadol for back pain.

Dr suggested tylenol. Is this purely symptomatic relief or does it
provide some reduction of inflammation?

I believe it's just symptomatic -- tylenol is an analgesic but not an
anti-inflammatory.
