First of all - go back to the surgeon. she definately has post
surgery complications, possible infection or at risk for developing a
Deep vein thrombosis. You should also take into account her age.
Unfortunately the healing process takes much longer and due to already
compromised circulation/vascular functioning/possible cardiac
problems? it could only prolong the healing. Best advice: See the
specialist ASAP

Thanks very much for your message Christi - I'm gong to arrange an
appointment next week.
"theamazinggu...", yes, we've had a follow-up, but we saw only a
junior Dr, and not the surgeon who performed the operation. She was
told on this occasion that all was going to plan and it would just
take time. We were particularly alarmed though to see that her ankle
is still collapsed and that she's walking on her arch, which is why I
thought I would cast the net a bit wider and contact this Group.
