Hi J
I am 49 years old. My mother died from Ovarian Cancer, 1 aunt and 1 uncle to
Lung Cancer, 1 aunt and 1 cousin to brain Cancer. I have an uncle who has
survived Prostate Cancer and my grandson who survived Whim's Disease, who did
lose one of his kidneys as a result of his illness. One of my aunts died from
Lupus.
You made me think back to when I first had the tummy tuc, within 3 weeks of
the surgery, I was in so much pain, feeling like my guts were twisted. I saw
my chiropractor and he manipulated my stomach, even though it hurt like heck,
when he was done the pain seem to go away and I could stand up. I never
thought about that again, but it makes me wonder if he did something to me
and made it worse. I should have mention that I have a very weak bladder now,
and it appears to get worse for about 10 days each month and then settles
down for a while, during the bad periods I have to wear protection, I cannot
make it to the bathroom in time. It happens during the day as well, but is
worse at night time. When I get pain across my lower back more to the right
side, my stool become loose and more frequent. When I first noticed my
stomach gettin hard and extended I visited my doctor and three months later I
went back and told him that I measured myself and was 38" around and 2 years
later I went back with a measurement of 48" around. He was shocked and sent
me off to see another doctor who did check my Cortisol levels and he said
they were fine. At times my stomach feels so heavy, more like pressure, that
it makes my breathing hard to do. When sleeping I need to sleep elevated,
when I try to lay down flat I have a hard time to breathe.
Thanks, Mizshe
PS The itch is almost gone. What a relief!

Hello mizshe ,
Thank you for answering some of my questions.
I do not know how to help you. There are surgeries to hold the bladder up but if
there's a heaviness in your abdomen or stomach area, perhaps that has to be corrected
first...
I did find a now abandoned forum where you can read some cases similar (not exactly
everything you told us) to yours.
http://cosmeticsupport.com/forums/
Click on "Body sculpting"
They may have moved over to the new location which is private, so I cannot search
your type of situation. It's listed there as well. Be careful of people trying to
sell you on something you don't want.
But maybe they have tips or a good doctor list for 2nd opinions on problematic
cosmetic surgery of your type.
If you don't find answers there, then perhaps you need to see a different cosmetic
surgeon and ask an opinion about the outcome of your surgery or whether it can be
fixed.
I'm not a doctor and don't know cosmetic surgeons. If you decide you want to go
elsewhere, you' could post here, as well, as to where you wish to go and maybe a
surgeon who posts here might know of someone.
His first name is howard, so if you post such a question, watch for his reply.
Best wishes. I'm sorry I don't know how to help.
J
