i just want to ask if my hepa b status is contagious...

i cant really understand everything about hepa b...i went to a doctor
and i took several blood test..HBs Ag its reactive and then Anti Hbe
its also reactive and i also been tested for SGPT and Alkaline
phosphatase...and the findings that the doctor told me is that im a
chronic healthy carrier of viral hepatitis B....im so
confused...because the doctor told me i dont need to drink any
medicine...i dont know if im contagious i want to know...

- Am i sick that needs to take any medicine...

- Am i contagious...in my case...

- how come the doctor didnt gave me any medicine to take since i have
chronic hepa b carrier...

Do you feel sick? A chronic carrier usually has normal liver enzymes
indicating minimal liver damage and or hepatitis.

Yes, you are contagious and those around you should take the vaccine
against hepatitis B that come in close contact with you. The viral
antigens indicate the actual virus being present.

You don't appear to be sick with no signs of clinical hepatitis. I
don't know your healthcare status or access but you would need close
monitoring with options in intervention with some limited success.
I would keep track of your ALT, a liver enzyme test. Here are the
indications for Interferon treatment.

"Initiation of treatment with an FDA approved agent (oral or
injectable) is considered medically necessary in patients with
confirmed hepatitis B when all of the following criteria have been
met:

HBeAg either positive or negative, AND
Detectable levels of Hepatitis B DNA, AND
ALT at least 2X upper limit of normal
