Hi Pals!

I just got home from my appointment with the cardiologist.  Let me first say
that I really understand that feeling of isolation we get in the wintertime,
often with acute disease on top of lupus, or acute weather conditions to
hinder us as well.

I have only seen the light of day a couple of times this month, and I looked
at my calender and said "whoops! I guess I missed January of 2004!"  It's
not the first month I have missed like this ;^)

Okay.  The cardiologist just took a big listen to my heart with a real good
stethyscope, and he proclaimed my heart as virtually well, saying that it is
his opinion that some folks are just born with hearts that beat fast.  He
listened to my carotids, too, and they seemed okay, but I will be having an
echocardiogram just to be sure.  It feels good to be sure my heart is okay;
I really thought it was anyway.

Only a few days in January left, perhaps I can use them to wipe my feet off
and get a better footing in February.

Health to you all,

Mair

I remember a few years ago I got sick the first part of Feb with the "flu"
and basically lost the whole month. I just couldn't get my strength back up
to be useful. So I know exactly how you feel about losing a month from your
life.

It's nice to know the ticker is doing well. That is one less thing to worry
about for the time being and considering the odds of having a problem just
because of age, lupus, etc. it's got to feel good to have the doc say that
it is just fine. Yippeee!!!!!!!!!!

All those good thinks we thunk up for you must be working!
Hugs,
Bev

Hi Mary,
I am glad to hear that your heart is okay. So you missed January did you?
Don't worry about it. Most of us hated it anyway. Really, you didn't miss a
darn thing. <g>

Thank you to all of you for your wonderful support.  Yes I am glad to hear
that my heart is okay... it does get disconcerting that it just stays above
100 all the time.

I didn't miss anything in January?  Okay, I'll take your word for it.  I
hear tell that I was up and around for a while and even writing some
posts...

take care

Mary

Mair
I have a fast heart beat too.  I take Toprol now to slow it down.  Since
it's been slown down, I do feel better... not like I've worked out with
every move.  My regular beat w/meds is around 75 not over 100 anymore.
Glad you are alright
Nicole
