Ok, saw Dr. today.  First off, we have decided that I've become sensitive to
celebrex.  We thought my itching was from flonase.  I stopped the flonase
last week but also accidentally ran out of celebrex.  Not a single itch did
I have.  I filled my celebrex Sunday and have been itching since.  Stopping
that and trying Mobic.  I couldn't take vioxx because of swelling and
itching.  Must be the sulfa stuff.  I can't tell you how long I've itched I
just know that it's been a LONG time.  Last week was a pleasure.

Much to my displeasure (or just being scared) I am going to try cytoxan.
Dr. said she had better luck with cytoxan than methotrexate.  I hope I have
luck with it.  I am so tired of this crapola.  Like Erina and Shelagh, I
only want to take this stuff until my body calms down.  Wish me luck!!

I'm sure hope you get the relief you nee! the idea of just taking them until
you calm down is another I prefer as well, those allergies can really wreak
havoc on your system - I am allergic also....

Hi Dawn,
I can't take Celebrex or any other drug containing sulpha. It is my
understanding that it is a common allergy in people with lupus. I do hope
the cytoxan works for you. Starting something new is always a bit scary.
Good luck.
