Merry Christmas, Everyone!

I hope you all are having a day full of relaxation and contentment.  I am
having a good time, and my symptoms have abated.  Pigmet went out treasure
hunting with all his new equipment, and a friend in tow.  I miss him the
very minute he leaves and is not "jumpin" around the house.

I have a new toy for myself--it is a hand-held steam cleaner.  I have been
playing with it now for a few days.  I was a tad disappointed with it at
first, because I didn't know what kinds of things steam is good for.  It is
great for getting wax off things!  I use a lot of candles, and wax is a
monster.  Anyway, I am enjoying myself by blowing hot steam on different
surfaces to see if they melt! LOL!

I hope you all are having a very nice day.  I am spending a quiet day alone,
and that is just fine with me.

Feliz Navidad

Mair

People say as long as you have your health, that's the main thing.
But that's not it--that's not it at all.  The main thing is bein together!

Is there not a booklet with it, Mair ?
I've seen on TV ...steam wrinkled clothes "on the fly" (hang in shower, steam
and let dry)..
steam wrinkled curtains while they're hanging on the rod, to freshen them up...
etc...

Have fun, but watch those candles.
The fire department here says that's the worst cause of fires in the past few
years.

Merry Christmas!  We could use that steamer on our carpet.  Does it do cola stains?

I don't know about cola stains, but I am using it with the wire brush
attachment to clean the bottom of my stainless steel frying pan, which I
have never been able to properly clean since I bought it 7 years ago.

Ah! the joys of Christmas

Merry Christmas to you too,

Mair

I found another use.
Your hair is clean but you want to change the style.
Put rollers (or use a hair brush), steam the rolled curl, hold until dry.
Hugs

Happy Holidays (since I'm a little late here) to you too Mair!

Btw,  got access to one of ASL:s photo albums, and I love the pic of your cat and
iguana.

Hi,
I am in a skill share club and in return for doing some teaching and admin
work <mostly> I build up credits I can "spend". Last week I had 2 people
come round to steam clean my carpets with their steam cleaner. It looked
like hard work as they had to go on their hands and knees, but my carpets
came up lovely and clean and in particular cleaned up the candlewax! I
have never had them cleaned before and some of them were quite dirty.

Hi,
You are very fortunate to have been able to have your carpet "really" steam
cleaned,  there is nothing like doing that to get the dirt out.  My little
steamer does not suck the moisture back out, and so is of limited use on
carpet.  I only have one room and the stairway carpeted, so I can't really
justify the expense of a professional cleaner, and I certainly can't manage
a "Rug Doctor" on my own.  I don't believe in putting "soap solutions" of
any type on carpet, as I have seen them just attract the dirt back even more
quickly.  so I will use the little steamer a little bit at a time.  BTW, it
does great on bathroom tile, chrome, and dirt baked onto pans.  it has
different attachments to use for these different things.  I am still having
fun with it!

Stay healthy!
