Hi All,
I have missed the newsgroup and all of the support lately. I have been so
blessed lately to be somewhat of a healthy state for almost 6 consecutive
weeks! Two days ago I started feeling badly, and now am down-down-down big
time. So I have to stop "doing" all that I've been busy with (we are
putting an addition onto the house, remodeling the existing house, redoing
both the front and backyards and driveway...) and rest. After reading what
we all started around here, it's no wonder I got sick again. I guess when I
feel good I just want to pretend I'm "healed" and do it all! Does anyone
else do this?
Anyway, I wanted to catch up with ya'll and to say "Hi". Sorry I've been
gone for a long while, we were on vacation (Oregon and Washington) and came
back to all of these projects. I had to disconnect my computer for awhile,
then when I reconnected it, it got "sick" and had to go to the computer
doctor. I just got it back two days ago and "poof" here I am.
How is everyone? There's no way I can catch up by reading all of the
posts... There's like 1800 new ones since I've been here.
I sure hope everyone's busy having a wonderful summer.
-Kristin

Hi Kristin,
It is good to see you back. All of your home projects sound very exciting.
It doesn't surprise me that you crashed. You have definitely overdone. I do
the same thing. Overdo I mean. I too try to ignore the fact that even when I
feel better, I am still chronically ill. Perhaps it is because I hate that
label so much. I prefer to think of myself as a healthy person who gets
really sick sometimes. At least we can accomplish some things and feel good
about that. I hope to see more of you now that you have made your way back
to us.

Hi BJ,
Thanks for the welcome :) It's funny, even when I am not able (because I'm
too busy) to check in with ya'll, I don't ever stop thinking of you... and
it's weird to sign in and not know what's going on...
I'm feeling better today than the past few days. Not 100%, but better. My
kids have been helping a LOT and have taken the load off in a big way.
Hubby too- he's been working like mad to keep up with all that's going on.
I, like you, hate the "label" of being chronically ill. I try to ignore it
whenever possible!
How are you feeling? From the looks of this board, lots has been going on
around here!

Hi Kristin,
I think of everyone too. I guess this is a place to find people who truly
understand our problems. I think you have to live it to be in that position.
Glad you are getting help around there. Sounds like your kids are keepers.
Good for them. I am hanging in there. Always something coming up, but not so
bad considering.

Thart explains why I couldn't reach you when I was in the area for a day.
REST, recover - see you soon.

Hi Kristin,
I think it is kind of the nature of lupus to "abandon" the group when you
are feeling well. We each hunger fiercely to live a life that is "normal":
to be relatively pain free, and to have the strength and energy to keep up
with those we love... to "pay back" in a way, all the patience and caring
that they have given us. I am glad you had that time, and I am glad to hear
from you again, too.
hugs and love

Hi Mair,
I guess you're right about abandoning the group while feeling good. Like I
said earlier, it's not that I don't think of you all when I'm not "checking
in", in fact I think of you guys a LOT and worry about how you're doing.
From the looks of this board, there are some new people here and some that
are going through some very trying times...
How are you?

Hi there!
How have you been???
Sorry you couldn't reach me- things can get really nuts here. I feel badly
that you couldn't find us. If you're ever in the area and can't reach us-
leave a message on the phone... Or if it's a Saturday, you can "always"
find the kids (and sometimes us!) at the gliderport.
When will you be back in town?

Hiya Kristin! Welcome back. :)
That's such great news that you had a long run of healthy days! Nothing
better in the world. But with all that on your plate, no wonder you're
down and out now! lol Keep resting and take it easy, hopefully you'll
get back on your feet soon.
