This is weird; my boyfriend & I were discussing not 60 seconds ago the fact
that he thought that's what's wrong with me because when I was a kid, my dad
had a plastic jar of mercury & I used to pour it into my hands, roll it
around, play with it; I think at one time I may have tasted it.

Hi Candi,
I did that too. It amused me for hours. Do you have a lot of blood problems?
Just wondered about that.

Yeah, I have hemolytic anemia, anticardiolipin antibody, low lymphocytes,
monocytes & red blood cells, but the RBC's are extra big & misshapen & take
up an unusually large amount of space (isn't that what hemolytic anemia
IS?). What do you have?

Hi Candi,
I remembered about your blood problems as soon as I saw your reply. It is
hard to keep track of everyone and how they are particularly affected by
their lupus. I have pernicious anemia with the typical megaloblastic red
cells, low lymphocytes, monocytes, red blood cells, also immune
thrombocytepenia & high MCV/MCH. I also have very high iron stores in my
bone marrow aspirate. Guess we shouldn't have goofed around with that silver
mercury. <g> Gad, it was fun though. Fascinating to watch the beads follow
each other until they became one again.

Yikes! I never claim to have the answer for everyone but Hg detox worked/is
working well for me. Symtpoms of Hg toxicity are very comparable to lupus, MS,
ALS, RA... because it causes such autoimmune damage. I would recommend getting
a Hg challenge test. Decreasing bodily burden of this cruel toxin can only be
a benefit. I think one of the reasons people dont see drastic improvment post
amalgam removal is they dont follow through with pharmaceuical chelation and
appropriate nutrition supplements. It is a long and arduous process. I know,
im 18+ months in and still only 80-90% improved. I also dont know for sure
what caused my toxicity: fish vs. amalgam. Best wishes.
