I put a photo of the cabin at Arrowbear up on the *other* album

So that you can see what it looks like. No snow now, of course, this
picture was taken at Christmas. My brother built this 3-story house
literally with his bear hands, (and he has lupus too, mind you). I remember
him making sure the ground was level before the foundation was poured,
digging trenches for gas and plumbing, my brother is amazing. It is
beatiful inside as well. Whatever the Universe wants....

What a cool place!
Is that your brother in the foreground?
What an undertaking... I know cause MOTH and I built our last house,
prior to selling it and living in the condo for 6 years... it took us 2
years to complete it and we lived in it for over 7 years.... we were so
proud of ourselves when completed but it cost so much more than we had
budgeted or planned for in not only money but also our energies and
*almost our marriage!
Funny cause we had been warned by friends who had done it that it would
be hard on our marriage but we just scoffed at them and said... nah, not
us <choke>.... it was true, the fighting was unheard of for us; it was
so hard to let go of all the different opinions and ideas... Did your
brother do it on his own or with a mate/friend?
I just think that is so great that your bro *with lupus* could achieve
such a feat! You must be so proud of him!!
