Rusty's Insult

Rusty made a horribly insulting response regarding my going to the hospital,
and "knowing just what to say" to get attention.  I did not see it, because
I have him on my "Blocked Sender" list.

HE:
> Sooo .. with "cardiac symptoms" .. she drives herself to the ER ..

ME:  #1  The truth as I see it is that I have to "do for myself" because I
am all alone in this world.  I regret my cocky attitude in that letter now
that I see it again.  On the other hand, I was trying to keep things
together under tremendous stress.  I *have* called 911 in the past for
"emergent" situations that turned out fine, then had to pay for a cab to get
home, and then a $500.00 bill for an ambulance service.  When it is a
one-minute drive away.

I am NOT a doctor, have never professed to be one.  If I get left-sided
chest pain, I drive to the E.R.  Many of us have a multiplicity of
diagnoses.  I have GERD which can present exactly as a heart problem.  And
the truth of an Emergency Room is that they DONT want someone with chest
pain waiting in a line behind someone who needs stitches in his knee.

Many of you have known me for years, and I am not the A$$wipe that Rusty is
making me out to be.  What are *your* medical credentials, Rusty, that you
can diagnose me from a post on a newsgroup?  You must be truly clairvoyant,
you $hithead.

HE: ....ACTUAL .. sick
> people.
>
> They diagnose her with anxiety and send her home after many anxious
> moments .. because OF her **knowing** how to say .. "just the right
> thing" ..
>
> And the expense .. ?

ME: ACTUAL sick people....what is an ACTUAL sick person, as opposed to
someone with real symptoms?  These are not questions I want your answers to,
Rusty.  You cannot say anything that I would consider worthwhile.

Did they diagnose me with anxiety?  Why would they diagnose me with anxiety,
when I had just had an abnormal EKG the previous day.  I was given
instructions!

Did they send me home, telling me that I was a manipulative B**tch?
They did not.  They actually admitted me, had me on telemetry, and did blood
tests every 6 hours, and when the cardiologist released me, it was under the
agreement that I have a SERIOUS CARDIAC WORKUP as an OUTPATIENT!  Oh NO!
The doctor had me driving my car ***with cardiac symptoms!***  How
irresponsible of him.

Did I drive myself home?  Of course.  That is how I get places.  Unless
Rusty wants to pull his head out of his a.s long enough to give me a
ride....

Rusty, I am reporting you to your ISP as abusing this group.  This is a
place where we get together to care for each other, and you have no place
here.  You've never given a sh.t about any of us.  So why will it be such a
big deal to leave us alone? That's a rhetorical question.

Yours in Disgust,

Mary

Fine advice, to be sure, but on the other hand, I will take every chance to
report him to his ISP.  If we complain enough, something may actually
happen.

Test are over for now, and just a rest period until, what?  I have an
appointment with my primary care doc tomorrow; she will tell me about the
blood tests since the lab did not obey her request to have copies of the
labs sent to me.

I know that (is it CPK (CK) and LDH, or both?) can be from desctruction of
other muscle besides heart.  I do have lupus myositis, but I think it will
only be par for the course if both tests come back ZERO!

Happy Birthday Jackson Browne,

I am now onto your private letter, Janers

"Rusty" is a demented, mean-spirited, ignorant loser. There are cruel
individuals in this world (sadly). Let him go.

Thanks, Chuck.  I have learned, however, that I can still learn even from
the most demented, mean-spirited and ignorant people. when I re-read my
e-mail I didn't like the way I sounded.  A little humility never hurt
anyone.
