Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some help.  Once before my doctor wanted to try me on
Rutuxin and my insurance denied it.  I now have new insurance and it
appears that they two are going to deny the treatment and once again I
will have to go through the appeals process.

Have any of you had to do this and if you were successful what sort of
documentation did you include, such as studies, etc.

I'd really appreciate any help or advice

Hi Jeanne, I have had 8 Sessions so far and have had to fight with
each one.  I have United Health Care.  They try to deny it every
time.  I have had to go to appeals so many times I am on a first name
basis,  :)  anyway you need to have your Doctors write up an
explanation showing everything they have tried and that it did not
work.  Then they need to put in a lot of info on the drug itself and
how it works with Lupus Patients.  I will tell you that all of my
Arthritic symptoms have been gone since the night of my first
treatment.  It was kind of weird at first but I  now feel some what
normal, at least I can walk and run again.  Best of luck and if I can
help in any way please let me know.  I wrote a small thread about my
experiences with the drug, I fully endorse it.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply.  Do you know where I can find information about
how the drug works with Lupus and the drug itself?  Did the company
help you?  My doctor's office seems to think that they aren't much
help but I would think they would have a lot of info about the drug
and use with Lupus.  I tried doing a search online but maybe my search
wasn't the best because I didn't come up with anything.

Hi there, The company themselves send a large packet of clinical trial
information to the DR offices that they sell the Drug to.  Also if you
search google scholars for it you can find some info in there as
well.  My particular DR has about Three other guys like myself that
went the Rutuxin route so he provided their success stories as part of
the packet.  I hope this helps, I'll look around and see if I can find
some of the clinical trial information for you.
