Boy is this board quiet.

I had my surgery on the 20th and by the 26th the damn OPPS, incision opened up and drained.  Yep big
time.  It is still open and I saw the doctor yesterday. Apparantly my body is rejecting the stitches
and I got staph from that rejection. It was a risk I know but dressing changes 2 times or more a day
has wrecked my back even with non allergic tape.  so got home health to tell me some secrets and
ordered duoderm for my skin so the tape goes on there.  I can now lift 10 pound, no bending no
twisting.  Short rides in car and short driving the car are ok now. BUT SHORT so we get to go to
town and eat out LOL>  finally. I was getting heebee gee bees in this house.
Hubby laughed and asked the doc, can she use the sweeper now and he said NO >..and tis true I can't
yet LOL. If I do not heal with in a couple weeks He may have to PACK the wound to debreed it  and
then we will have to do it during the day too.  Hubbby may have a problem with that so I may have to
call on my nurse friends close by LOL.

All surgeries I have had 5 of them since having lupus NOW I get infection But he told me it can
happen. Plus my daughter had the same thing with her C section 3 yrs ago and Doc said there is a
gene in families that honestly it is passed on like that to reject things like stitches.  THINK
LUPUS People LOL. what ever
anyhow. I am upbeat this will get better and this will be slow healing but it will happen.

just wanted you all to know I am here yet and for crying out loud get this board a moving more.
Bores me to see no posts LOL

hugs to all
and Ruthie, yes I am being good and listening well to the Captain, old Sarge isn't giving up yet LOL

You're right - that does seem to happen with Lupies more than with your
average person. Dunno why...

Sending good thoughts, janers, for speedy healing.
Duoderm's good, but expensive here.
Couldn't get it to stay on my elbow (hole)
So my elbow's bare, bare, bare and no, there's no pics to look at <g>
Love to ya'all.
