Quiet here?  What's up? - How about a roll call for Valentines ?

Pigmet here, along with Mair !  Mair's been fighting a cold since the end of
December, and she's real tired of "lyin low." We are fightin her cold with
the time tested home remedies (honey & lemon drinks, and salt water nasal
rinses) and lots of relaxation... serene music, lighting candles, and the
magic healin stones. The goal now is to keep her from gettin bronkitis.
Bronckiteis.

So that's what's up

With all respect and devotion

Pigmet, and Mair

janers here

I am having back surgery the 20th for ruptured lumbar disk.  Seems they found it on the mylogram to
confirm as well as CT scan.   Duh the MRI showed it too LOL.
But it has been hard to get through this pain.  Walking with cane a few steps at a time.  can't wait
till it is over and HOPE to be pain free.
Doctor says it should work out fine.

prayers please will help.

I noticed to the board it awefully slow and there is plenty of NUT cases out there too.  I mean spam
and what not.  NOT the lupus nuts haha

hugs to all

You're funny :)
Good luck with the surgery. Remind us please, as the date approaches, so we can hold our breaths while
you're gone.
And don't be gone too long, because I don't want to expire for lack of oxygen. <g>
BJ sends her best to you (and the others).
She says her software's not yet set up for newsgroup, so I've been sending her updates.
I'd like to think that she'll appear here, shortly after I post this (my saying she's not set up)

And "Z" said she tried to post a while back but "it wouldn't let her". I assume "it" was Google.
Anyhow, it's good to hear from you janers.
Hugs

Janers & all,

I am glad you are finally going to get some relief!

My sweet wife Rainy (my own Valentine) is suffering from severe back
pain and is going through the doctor shuffle.  More epidurals or
surgery, that is the question. I look forward to your good reports so I
can pass them on to her.

The prayers are on the way and we will be thinking of you on the 20th.

Hi J and all others

Sorry it took a long time to get back... I am sometimes not a faithful
lurker :@)
I did read all the posts (2/12) in this thread, and am glad to find we all
still have a sense of humor, and magination.

Janers, I wish hou the very best

Mair has had what we think is one major bug, and one major relapse.  She is
trying to get out of bed for a few hour at a time... not sure if she's gonna
relapse again.  We don't pray, we meditate, chant, and send good intentions.

My Best Friend's name is Major Breadlet, and he is a dinner roll that came
to life by magic. He is afraid of the roll call, and hopes that he doesn't
lose any of his "Bread Buddies." He has had several attempts on his life, so
he's stayin in my pocket, but he sends you all the best.

I ask you please not to eat your rolls in his presence.

Mair's had lupus "or somethin" since she was about 18, so I know what it is
like to live with.  I give a warmhearted hug to all those who stand by their
lupie partners, and I know that "hang in there" is the most appropriate
comment to all who suffer lupus.

We have FF filtered out.  Mair used to love makin comments to him, but he's
annoyin  and we aint gonna go fishin for him now!

Mair sends her love. And I do too.

Your Devoted Nephew,
Pigmet

Your exchange a short while ago including Bill, had people around the world
laughing.
That's what's needed for FF posts.Poking fun at him.
I wasn't seeing his posts lately, so checked through Google.
Apparently there's some type of problem with crossposts between Supernews and
Google archiving.
If you want more info, I'll post what a UK'er told us.
I don't understand what he was saying. <g>

I'm just glad not to see the Usenet sporgers who say nothing about lupus
and related problems here of late. In some ways, quiet is good.

Marie is recovering from a bout of cellulitis again. Never fun to get
that with a lupus-weakened immune system. I'll try to get her in here to
say hi or something.

Best wishes to Marie.
We'll be happy to hear from her when she feels up to it.

Thanks for running the roll call, J <g>
I wonder why new people don't come update us? Come on in; it's safe.

My new problems are a hole in my right elbow - since end of November and
it pains a lot.
It's too late to stitch it.
GP said it's not infected but has been prescribing antibiotic cream. Go
figure.
A few weeks ago, because of so mych pain,I went to ER for stitches and
they told me no and said it's infected, so prescribed me oral antibiotic.
Which did nothing at all.
I have some steroid cream and use that but I'm not supposed to.
I have some marcaine. shhhh.. I'm not supposed to have any, but it helps
..as long as i don't bend my elbow

The other new problem is dupuytren's contracture in my left hand.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dupuytren's_contracture
The lump I have goes in the other direction (from what's on the picture
there) and my middle finger is affected - all except the little finger and
thumb.
So it pains to straighten my fingers on that hand and pains to turn a knob
or door handle.
To make bed and tuck in sheets, I have to use the edge of my hand, instead
of fingers.
Hard to grasp things like jars. So the hand is barely usable.
And tada...the GP congratulated me on self-diagnosis correctly BUT told me
they don't do surgery until it's much worse. ie when the fingers are all
bent out of shape.
I'll talk to a different doctor about it in a few weeks and ask her to see
the problems it causes.

okay, enough about me.

I am post Valentines day here, after reading everyone it became
discouraging to know everyone is in such pain, sure wish we could at
least schedule some moments and not feel all the afflictions.

I hope ya'll can grab a memory from the day that does take you from
being ill even if its just a moment.

I spent the day tweaking the computer, becoming too often for me. :(

Warm thoughts,
Zinn
