Hey peoples, just a heads up that if you have been diagnosed lupus you
should get tested
for Babesiosis, a TBD, a tick borne disease, that can manifest
identically. We've had people
come to our support group who were prior diagnosed lupus, including me
who was suspected
lupus but never had positive ANA (thank god, otherwise I would have
been diagnsoed SLE).
Also get tested for HME & HGE Ehrlichiosis if you have had TTP!!!
I had malar rash and many symptoms compatible with lupus.
There are different types of Babesiosis in different parts of the US.
There is Babesia WA1 in Oregon & CA.
Babesia MO1 is not just in Missouri but all over the place.
Babesia Microti is East Coast.
SO GET TESTED!!!
If you want to try a treatment challenge, Doc Zhangs Artemisia is a
herbal therapy for Babs
1-888-788-4372. There are MANYother brands, I am not an adveritsing
troll, you can try any brand.
You usually have a reaction by the 7th day of tx which shows whether
you are reactive to treatment.
I had a reaction within 2 hours. This reaction is a transitory
worsening of symptoms- getting worse
before you get better if you have it, there is a Herxheimer response.
I'm not interested in arguing. I am not a troll. I am a TBD Support
Group Facilitator in Santa Cruz California-
the highest in all of CA for Lyme- Lyme can also mimic Lupus but in my
experience it is most often BABESIOSIS.
CALIFORNIA has Babesiosis.
MONTEREY has Babesiosis.
is it RARE?
In CA, they have done 3 studies of 3 different communities- whole
surverys bloodwise of communities in CA- and they found 3.5% were
infected, 16% were infected and 18% were infected- of communities!!!
this means hundreds of thousands of people in CA alone who have no
clue they are infected.
Babs can show up withNO symptoms or with death or with ASTHMA!
GET TESTED!!!
Of my soapbox,
Hey if it is Babesiosis IT IS CURABLE!!!
Sincerely,
Sarah

First off there is NO herbal remedy which will successfully treat any tick
borne disease the only treatment is antibiotics. I know this from having a
dog who had lyme disease.
