Is anyone experiencing pulling muscles and detaching tendons from
minimal exertion? Dr told me is normal for lupus and I should just
double up on some meds......I don't see how that is helping, because
am still pulling them.
Any suggestions or input would be appreciated. I ache so bad and keep
pulling things.......seems like there should be something I can do
arghhhhhhh

arghhhhhhh is right !  My tendon problems are worseing.
Now it's both shoulders, my lower arms, my thumbs, the left TMJ and
something leftish in my abdomen.
There's various braces, I sometimes use. Ace bandages where possible (not
too tight, just enough to remind me not to move things a certain way and
hopefully hold them up against other tissue.
Apparently, prevention of worsening is physio to strengthen the muscles.
I don't think I have any detached. I'm trying to hold myself together. :)
Apparently there's surgery for detached tendons.
Good luck. i don't post much. Using the computer makes some of them worse.

I'll be thinking of you and watching for your updates.

Well, last Nov. I started having wrist pain, which got progressively worse;
turned out to be DeQuervain's Tendonitis. Probably a combination of lupus &
playing piano. The tendon pulled from the bone, taking a piece with it - ie
a fracture. I get tendonitis often, but that was the 1st time that had
happened. I finally let them inject it in March with cortisone & it's much
better. Are you feeling better? What meds are you taking?
