Ok, anyone ever buy coolibar hats?  bucket hats especially.  Or any other
hat for that matter any where that is UVA/UVB protective?

I have a Tilley hat that is so darn heavy it makes me sweat. I also wear
ball hats but need more of a bucket hat.  I do own a straw hat but again
they can be over warm to wear.  I love hats so send me to a place that has
them.

Most all of coolibar are 3 inch brim so that is a good thing.

anyone??
thanks much

Janners, try these links

http://sundayafternoons.com/index.cgi?id=983329313343

www.hats.com

The Sundayafternoons site sells sun protective clothing.  They were brought
to my attention via a monthly news letter from our health insurance.  I have
not checked their prices.

Hope you find something that you like, is comfortable,  and works!  I love
hats!!!!!!  Would wear them all the time if I could find some that really
fit my head (without having to pay a fortune for them).  Since I am not a
very large person and have very thin and baby fine hair....all the hats come
down over my ears.  <g>  Maybe good for keeping the sun off my ears but
looks really "dorky".  LOL

Hugs,
Sherry

Well Sherry thank you.  I don't have to worry about a hat coming down deep
on my head cause I got  A FAT head. NO comments people.

But I measure a over 23 inches around, hehe.  I love hats too and keep my
hair short for  years. Much much easier to manage for me.

Dorky?  Heck I have been called that LOL.  If you look at many of my pics
wearing a hat I am sure you would agree haha.
thanks will go look at that site right now

hugs

Hi Janers

I really don't like wearing hats.  SO many hats I have purchased have been
mistakes. I bought a straw hat that had a little upward sort of brim, which
became very wobbly after just a few wearings.  I took the darn thing and put
several rounds of floral wire around the brim and then covered it by sewing
down the little upward part on the brim.  It is now my favorite hat.  Of
course I have to fuss with everything I have until it is "me," and this is
just one example.

The Mexicanos working on my house took a liking to me.  They were all
wearing these straw hats, and the forman gave me one too!  I guess I *was*
actually the supervisor of the whole project.

I wonder how many people have a landlord to say that: "You're the boss, you
are the one living with it, not me." But I think that this is his first try
at rental property, and he hasn't learned to be a wicked landlord yet<grin>

Love and stuff,
Mair

I have been wearing coolibar hats for months now....they may be a
little bulky...the bucket hats............however they do a great
job.....has almost put an end to the dealing with the flo lights at
work....along with coolibar jacket oe the long sleeve shirts that are
also spf 50.......and of course a ton of sun screeen.
Haven't heard of that other place but am going to check that out
now....hard to find variety in clothing so the more sites the better
eh
peace...

Solumbra hats have wide brims too.
www.solumbra.com

I'm looking at Coolibar hats too.. I have my eye on the cotton spa hat

3.25" brim
crushable, breathable

They also have a hat that's 2.2 oz called the featherweight bucket hat.
3.25" brim
moisture-wicking internal sweatbad for comfort

I just got off the phone with Tilley hats company.  I have a Tilly hat but
it is very heavy hat and makes me sweat like crazy.
SO I called the company and they told me they would give me 50% off a new
hat, keep my old hat any how.

I told them I wanted light weight, bucket hat for every day run and go hat,
Nothing to make me sweat and one that protects.  Well all Tilly hats
protect from sun 98% so there is no problem
she did tell me that I need to buy a T hat so I ordered me a T1 hat bucket
style.  Easy to use and with almost 3 inch brim around. It fits down to
your ears LOW on your head, I mean LOL.  I will try it

I looked at the coolibar ones and debated but I like my old tilley as rain
proof and did protect me but way too hot. So for the price for me was good.
I believe the coolibar are 29.99 and the tilly is 27.50 so what the hey.
I will let you know what I end up with and how it works.
They say COTTON DUCK hats are the best for less sweating and comfort.  okey
dokey
