Doctor started me on Lyrica a few weeks ago. to awaken some of the
dead/numb areas and relieve some pain.
It does actually seem to have relieved things a bit but I finding
myself having these 'shocks'. Before I had little 'shocks'.....that
inner zap?...does anyone have these?
I don't see the doctor for a few weeks yet but just wondered if anyone
else has felt these 'shocks'...I had thought it was the lupus......but
now they are much stronger....is it the Lyrica........or lupus since I
stupidly started smoking again....any input would be appreciated

I don't understand what you mean by shocks. I was on lyrica for awhile and
it made me very spaced out. I could not think right or make decisions.

But the shocks?:  I again have no clue.  Do you mean you are jerky or jerky
movements?  off and on or explain a little better for me, I am slow LOL

honestly, when my lupus is active and I am overly tired, my body feels very
shakey and jerky.  is that what you mean?

has been almost 3 weeks on the lyrica now....it does seem to be
subsiding the numb spots some (replaced by terrible pains) but I am
not sure I can handle the sleepiness, I assume this is causing me.  I
am still experiencing the 'jerks' but is more of
a ........uncontrollable twitch,........i go to the int dr tomorrow so
we will see what he has to say but no rheumi appt for a few months
yet....

I know what you're talking about Deb.  Almost like your body part
going to sleep but much stronger?  Yep, I get them alot.  Doesn't
really bother me that much though.  I'm on 75 mg twice a day, I don't
think that's a very high dose.  Actually I think they may have to
increase it because my pain is getting worse.  Anyway, hope it helps?
