My niece is going through diagnoses h***. At this time most do not thing
she has lupus, but I am not convinced. Autoimmune cuases have been
suggested and there is some history in her family. Symptoms do not seem
classic (whatever that is) to lupus.
My sister has sent me this message and I am soliciting any comments from
you:

What are her symptoms? Has she had any tests run, and
do you know what they are? Someone here may point you
in the right direction if they have that information.

"Somatization" has a nice, authoritative ring to it, but it's just
another way for the doctor to say "it's all in your head." Which
in turn is another way for the doctor to say "I don't know what
it is, but no way am I going to admit that!"

Sounds like another way of saying it is all in your head! Most of us have
been there...and it is a shame that a doc just can't admit they haven't got
a clue.

Thank you Sherry and Bill. Your opinions are consistent with my own. I did
not note that in my OP so as not to "pollute" the replies. I have
forwarded on your replies along with my own comments to my sister.
