Hello to my friends, and Happy Chinese New Year to Everyone!

Since I am the resident flake, I feel it is my duty to keep you abreast of
the more obscure calendar events

February 18 we entered the Year of the Pig... of course Pigmet is very
excited about this.

I'm doing... eh, so-so.  Things could be better, but they sure have been a
lot worse, and I sure don't want to go back there!

Love, Health, and Prosperity to all

Ah, I should have sent you an Austrian Kalender I recently had. This is,
or at least was, the equivalent of an Almanac (it was for 1836). There
were many pages of anniversaries; and also a list of the Saints you
might wish to commemorate - about 6 for every day, including Christmas
day.

So you'll have to make do with a sour'n'sweet Fortune Cookie; sour
outside but sweet within.

Here it is [ ].

Gee, is that all I get?  The Chinese give money on Chinese New Year.  I
blundered into my favorite Chinese restaurant, and they said Happy New Year
and gave me this red pouch with coins--US currency in it.  I still have that
thing.  I have a sort of Chinese altar in my house, and the little pouch
resides there.

As far as celebrations for every day... that sounds fun.  I'm going to look
on the internet to see what I can find.  I found one with phases of the
moon...you put in the day of the month, and it shows you a real photo of the
moon through a telescope, at its actual phase for that day.  Pretty groovy,
huh?

Well, I have certainly digressed.  I just wanted an occasion to say Happy
Happy Joy Joy to everyone, and anything Chinese Buddhist Taoist Jewish is
how I like to fill the bill.

Thanks for writing, Andy!

You are so endearing....and your devotion to Pigmet...that means a lot to
him!  He has a princely cape which his Anti Beverley made for him, and he
has a specially jeweled necklace, so he is ready to be a prince, if not a
king!

Our Love and Devotion to you, Cindy,

Mary and Pigmet

This is a special year for Met.  He just turned 5 years old!  He's not five
as a child would be; he's not even really a pig! He gets reborn every year,
but he keeps his memories and wisdom.  He chooses to remain as a child in
many aspects, because it is a "simpler, more honest life." Another aspect of
him chooses to explore deep wisdom from all the sages of the earth.  His
life gives him joy, which he tries to share with all of you.

If you can laugh that I "channel" a piglike creature from who knows where,
then he is happy that you laughed, and he has done his job.

Happy New Year to All!
Mary and Pigmet
