The above quote is taken from the news article story link below in the post I am responding to.
Obviously the writer is so very 'out of date' with her literature and facts and it is my opinion that the story link should have been posted here **with clarification**  of that fact included in the initial post, especially for any newbies or uninformed patients or lurkers who may link onto and read that story.
JMO... fwiw
(just so sad too, that she lives every day with such an out-of-date prognosis!)
the same quote updated would be:
"most people with the disease can expect to lead active, healthy lives with normal life spans"
