Hi All!
I got a new computer at work and could not set up my newsgroups through
outlook anymore so I did it through Google.

Just a short update on me. The doctor thinks I may have fibromyalgia.
Just wonderful! I plan to do some changes in my lifestyle that got me
there so hopefully I can turn things around but at least I want to
learn how to live with this stuff. Right now I am have cronic aching in
my shoulders and both arms. I hope he is wrong. But deciding to
exercise and eat better and hopefully get to sleep better will help.

Hope everyone is doing well, and I will try to read and catch up.

Many Hugs,
Mermaid

Welcome back...
When you say you have FM now...I can't help but think...how lucky I feel
that I "only" have FM and not Lupus...I know that the FM will not kill me,
somedays it makes me wish I were dead, lol..but I know that it is not life
threatening...It has definitely changed the way I live...but knowing what it
is...has definitely made it better.
I believe that I have always had it...but I just thought it was normal to be
in pain all the time and hurt and be tired...when I say normal...I mean for
me...I just figured I was "lazy"...My dad had severe OA and my Mom worked so
hard and had headaches everyday...she ate tylenol by the bottles...so if I
hurt...that was normal right?
And being tired and feeling like I had the flu...well I had felt like that
since I was a child...I just thought it was normal...and the older I got and
it got worse...I thought it was part of aging...So when I finally crashed
and burned...and got a dx...and some help...
I am better...than I was...I no longer work and I have meds that help me
sleep and pain meds to help me not hurt every min of the day....:)
My OA still hurts the Fm still hurts but it is tolerable and it has a name
and I am not lazy and crazy...

Sorry this is long...Just wanted to say...that knowing WHAT it is and having
someone to treat it...will make it "Better"
Hugs Cindy
