After I was diagnosed, in 1993, with SLE, I decided to totally change
my lifestyle. In doing this I  changed my eating habits and became, for
5 years A VEGETARIAN!!!
There was no change in the SLE, in fact, it got worse!
I now eat everything I feel like, in moderation,
If this "nut-head continues to invade what has become for me, a place
where I can "talk" to people who know what I am going through in my
life and give me love and understanding, I will have to unsubscribe
from this site
What a terrible shame!

Rusty is not a nut-head, in fact I don't believe
he has *anything* in his head.

Can't you kill-file him?  It's not as if he'll ever
post anything worth reading, unless he has his
obituary on hand.

The second Rheumy I ever consulted for help told me to stay away from
red meat and milk.  He got quite aggitated when I returned for my next
appointment and said that I had not eliminated them from my diet.

Of course this is the same doctor who told me maybe I need to pray more
to get better and that whenever I did happen to have a good day that it
was a direct result of prayer and nothing more.

I didn't return to that doctor, especially after he told me I need to
read proverbs to find out what it truly means to be a woman of purity.

People everywhere (sometimes even ones with the initials M.D. after
their names_) will offer out unsolicited, unfounded, and scientifically
unproven advice and methods of treatment.

I agree with you about the particular person on this board.  I have
tried other support group forums that require registration and have
full moderation, but I don't really find them as beneficial as this
one, so I guess I will keep coming back and do what I can to ignore THE
oddball.
