I am here but WOW busy for awhile.

Granddaughter has been sick with numerous testing done.  Had attacks of
severe tummy pain, double over kind.  Saw a GI specialist and all kinds of
upper GI tests but he refuses to do a colonoscopy. Daughter tried to talk to
him but his staff said "Oh you don't want to talk to him today he is in a
bad MOOD"
What is that people?  Daughter called him for 4 days and missed him all 4
and now he is in a BAD mood?
So she went to her GP and he gave 15 yr old GD a medication to put under her
tongue if she has an attack. It is almost like gall bladder attacks but
since she is 15 no one takes her seriously due to the fact it is rare
teenagers have GB?   OK, but they did a tests for it and it was neg, I told
daughter it can be neg but there might of been stones that already passed or
gravel that did.   So she is fed up with the specialist.  and when GD gets
another attack then to the ER.  on and on

Brother is doing better since fracturing his pelvis, on bedrest and will see
the doc next week to even consider removing his rods  and screws in there.

Getting things lined up for heading out as a snow bird :)  and looking
forward to it.

doing pretty darn good with my foot SHHHH.  and all seems healing well.
started water exercises and a little stiff but hey for an old woman, I am
doing "VERY well right now in health.'  Crap maybe I should not of said
that.  jinx?  NO NO-NO NO NO-NO

I will keep in touch, if you guys do?

I am here but busy too. Kidneys have been stable for a year now, but
this week they were the best ever---145 mg protein down from 4,400
three years ago. I am on Cellcept, but only 250 mg at this point. Off
prednisone, but of course, still on plaquenil. My rheumy wants me to
stay on Cellcept at low dose indefinitely. Sed rate was down to 6 and I
have only gotten sick once in 3 years. He gave me the choice to stay on
or go off. I decided to stay another 90 days and reevaluate. Has anyone
else had long term experience with Cellcept? My CBC and CMP are
excellent as is the sed rate.

This sounds like good news on all accounts...And I am sure you are afraid to
rock the boat...
Hope that you and your doctor continue to do what ever it is that your doing
to keep you better..

I'm here, still stoned. I see the neurologist next week. I do hope he does
something for me, something that will turn this d*mn pain off.

I hope he finds something to turn the "d*mned" pain off too!  Pain is just
too much to live with constantly.  Keep us posted!

Sherry

Are you still having pain in your face/jaw, Bev?  Or is this pain
elsewhere?
Beverley - 17 Nov 2006 22:54 GMT
Same place all the time. It's trigeminal neuralgia which effect the nerves
in the face. It's neurological not joint pain. It's bad. They treat it as if
it was a seizure and if you watched me when the pain hits you would
understand why they treat it like a seizure.
I've had it hit for maybe 45 seconds- let up for 6 seconds, and then hit
again for maybe as much as 4 minutes, get a 10 second break and it hits
again. Then imagine keeping that up for hours. You go insane. it's like
being shocked over and over again.

or just Yahoo it.

Bless your heart.  I do remember now, Bev.  I remember one doctor got
it to stop for awhile by doing something.  I'm so sorry you have to
deal with this.  I will keep you in my prayers with hopes they can do
something for you soon.

Hugs,
Maggie
