Any one on lyrica?  I just started it today.

Appparantly there is nerve damage since the foot and ankle surgery which can
happen due to inflammation and tissue swelling.

but both feet are worse again since out of the boot.   I favor the left foot
(surgery one) and am in shoes now.  throws me right off and makes my right
foot do the work.  It is not the same pain that I had before surgery that is
GONE.

SO on with the new things and out with the old. right?

Again, any one on lyrica and how much do you take?
thanks again

Janers, no experience with the drug but looked it up and it seems to be
something used for seizures as well as nerve pain.

Sorry to hear that you are having more trouble with you feet!  Darn it!!!!
When does this stuff stop?

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,
Sherry

Hi Janers,

I'm on 75 mg, twice a day and my friend Larinda is on 150 mg twice a
day (as of today since I took her to the doctor).  Our rheumatologist's
nurse practitioner says it's supposed to be the biggest new thing out
there, she says she just got back from a big convention on it and it's
supposed to be great.   It seems to be helping and I haven't noticed
any side effects or any adverse symptoms.  My friend Larinda hasn't
been on anything for pain and has been feeling especially bad lately,
this is a woman who has almost died 4 times and had multiple surgeries,
so I listen to her when she says something works and doesn't!  We have
exactly the same thing she's just a bit more worse for wear than I
after having 3 kids, 3 pulmonary embolisms and god knows what else.
I'll report back on her evaluation of the Lyrica!

Cheers,

Krista

Hello
I tried the 75mg twice a day and boy what a whammo it did to my mind

When taking it in the am after breakfast, I got confused and very very
lethargic, along with not knowing what I wanted to do. I could not function
at all and felt like a truck hit me and left me lay like ROAD KILL.....LOL

I went to bed right away and slept from 11:30 till 4pm straight. Then it was
like a hellish hangover (yes been there in college days hehe) and could not
shake it till after 6pm.  Then came the night time dose of 75 and it did
zip.

So I called the doc after 3 days of doing the above and now he wants me to
try it at 50mg twice a day.  I think the darn stuff is reacting to my bp and
heart medications too.  I have not yet started the 50 but continue on 75 at
night.  I catch myself NOT remembering where I left things and this is much
worse than I had previously.  I still am ok but just feels something
different.  Been on it a week and I can't tell zip yet. I know maybe not
enough but I will try the twice a day starting sunday because I am going to
my grand kids bd party and don't want to be sleeping and forgetting myself
and not eathing cake LOL.

We will see.  I will pick up my inserts in am and discuss this with the doc
if he is there, and see if the bp meds and heart meds along with that is
what is doing it.

sorry this is late, but hubby and I well we watched our grand daughters in
another town and I didn't get on line let alone get that script right.

But mind games to me, it does play.
thanks

Here are some resources that might help:

Lots of side-effects listed here, some of which sound like your problems.

Lyrica may interact with Lorazepam and Oxycodone.
No non-prescription medicines are known to interact with Lyrica.

He he he yeah, what a drunk I've become!!!

I'm only taking it at night or if I get woken up and need pain relief
and sleep.  But the effects seem to be slowing down.  I am taking way
less pain medication, which is very good, and very good for my stomach!
I am sleeping WAY too much though!
